Hi I’m Robert …

With over 15 years of experience as a trader and manager for leading global banks such as JP Morgan Chase, I have established a reputation for excellence in the finance industry. Throughout my career, I’ve held various roles, including foreign exchange trader, equity index trader, tax credit/drip arbitrage trader, and regional manager in Hong Kong.

In these capacities, I was responsible for shaping global trading policies for New York, London, and Asia trading desks, and maximizing portfolio profitability. Additionally, as a manager and trader for JP Morgan in New York and Hong Kong, I built strong relationships with clients in Asia, and managed large and culturally diverse teams across five countries.

Today, I leverage my extensive experience and skills as a career and communication success coach to help professionals in the finance industry achieve their goals. My clients, who range from analysts and investment bankers to venture capitalists and private equity professionals, become confident, persuasive, and trustworthy during 1-on-1 conversations, business meetings, and negotiations.

By combining my expertise in sales and negotiation from my time on Wall Street with my passion for culture and language, I offer a unique and effective coaching approach that helps clients excel in their careers.

Robert Durant is a dynamic conversation group leader, seasoned traveler, and successful entrepreneur. With a passion for English language education, Robert leads conversation groups with university students and visiting scholars in his city, helping them to improve their English language skills while fostering cross-cultural understanding.

 

Outside of his work with Bull Market Communication, Robert manages his luxury waterfront real estate holdings on Connecticut’s Gold Coast. He’s also a seasoned art dealer, having founded a New York City art sales company after exiting Wall Street. There, he bought and sold works of art by some of the world’s most renowned post-modern and contemporary artists, including Picasso, Dali, Warhol, Haring, and Basquiat.

 

Robert is a natural communicator, and he challenges his clients to reach their highest goals. With a step-by-step plan, he guides his clients to embrace risk and celebrate success. Whether he’s leading an English conversation group, buying and selling art, or managing real estate, Robert brings the same level of dedication and passion to everything he does. And when he’s not working, he loves spending time with his dogs, dancing tango and salsa, and exploring new cultures and cuisines.
